Minerals are the nutrients of plants and are responsible for many important functions. Plants in pots need regular applications of nutrients, but more is not better: too many nutrients make the plant sick.
For optimal nutrient uptake, a soil pH between five and six is important.
What You Need
Step 1/7
Choose a suitable liquid fertilizer depending on the needs of your plant. For plant species such as orchids or cacti, there are special fertilizers.
Step 2/7
Check the nutrient concentration of your plant with the FYTA Beam.
Step 3/7
Fill your watering can with the concentration indicated on the fertilizer.
Step 4/7
Mix the water to distribute the fertilizer evenly.
Step 5/7
Water your plant evenly.
Step 6/7
After 30 minutes, remove the excess water from the saucepan.
Step 7/7
Let your plant snack on nutrients in peace!
