Oxalis triangularis - False Shamrock
The False Shamrock comes from Brazil and belongs to the family of Oxalidaceae. The plant is available with violet-bordeaux colored leaves and white-pink flowers or with green leaves and white flowers. It is fast-growing, particularly flowering, and survives almost every care mistake, which makes it a great beginner plant.
What is wrong with that one, Lotte?
Don't panic!
It may happen that you see wilted leaves hanging down from your pot, even though you have taken great care of your shamrock. Don't worry, you've done your job well! Dead leaves don't necessarily have anything to do with improper care or an unsuitable location.
Step 1/2
Carefully pull out the hanging leaves along with the stem from the ground or cut them off. Your False Shamrock will look fresh again.
Step 2/2
By regularly watering your False Shamrock , providing it with enough light and high humidity, you can ensure that the old leaves are quickly replaced by new ones and your Shamrock always looks full and bushy.
